if its your very first time at the track ever then expect bad times until you get the 60ft time down to 2.0 or so~

Yea, but I've seen some in the 13.4-13.8 zone I think it comes down to your 60ft, I couldn't get mine down from 2.1

When I went to the track a few weeks ago, perfect chilly day,

There was an 06 5spd with Bama tune and JLT 3 intake w/ pacesetter longtubes, He ran 13.2-13.6

Then there was a white auto there with just a tune they said and it ran 13.20x-13.21x they bracket race it, ever run was a consistent 13.2X

If your only mods are tune, intake and Drs with a 1.899 or better you can see a 12.99 or 13.00

I ran 13.347 with a 1.998 60 with non DR Nitto 555 275/18, intake, 93 tune and 4.10s.

Knocking an extra 2 tenths off the 60 with your DRs should get you a high 12 with fast shifting

True the best I could get with my car was 13.2367 with a 1.9571 60 foot
My mods where 410s, Jlt3 and tune

Now I have an off road Xpipe, ultra light weight drag rims with Micky thompsons and lower control arms on the way, I'm hoping for the coveted 12s timeslip next Friday

With your tires I think you got it. I went from 13.347 to 12.998 and gained almost 3 MPH from LTs and O/R X pipe. Still on street tires. I know with some Drs I'd have some pretty satisfying times.

What tire pressure should I run? They're Mickey Thompson dr's. I'm thinking of launching at high rpm's like 3,800-4,200 or more, reason being is I have stock 3.31s.

With a nice burn out and some slip you can launch at that successfully or even higher.

On my stock tires, no burn out and 35 psi, the only thing I did was romp on it on my way to stage to clean the tires

If you just pop the clutch you'll spin the tires

---------- Post added at 12:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:44 PM ----------

Also you should need to do anything to the tires just leave as is, you don't have gears so traction should be a big problem

Right because you do not heat up street tires. It is a counter effect. Drs on the other hand, which he is running, need heat.

Fastest I've gone was a 13.95 with no nitrous, dr's, and a bunch of other stuff that embarrassed to say I have. Lol. It's mostly in the driver.

107 and 1.9 seems too fast for the mods. yet a 1.87 would get him a 12 easily. So weird.

Good job
