Is something wrong?

I have been noticing this for a little while and I was wondering if something is wrong. My gear shifter actually moves forward and backwards slightly with the bumps in the road and sometimes with hard acceleration and deceleration.
Is this something I should be worried about? Thanks guys and girls.

It might be loose. Get under the car and see if the bolt that holds the front end of it is coming out.

Coil also be a bad tranny mount. Those rubber mounts are known to crack/fail. Had that happen to me before.

Simple. Put a jack under the tranny, undo the bolts, lift tranny up a bit, remove mount. As long as nothing is stripped and your frame isn't cracked it's a simple replacement.

Real easy. Use the jack as stated. There are only four bolts and it's in and out.
