Which is a better exhaust for performance, sound and quality? Flowmaster or Borla?

It's not that simple. They all have several different types and sounding mufflers. Also mods can have an effect on sound as well as LT headers and mid pipes with or without cats.
The best way to decide is in person phones and computer speakers don't really sound right. Go to a show or club and find what you like and ask about the setup.
Tons of people will argue for their setup as best, but many of them change mufflers every two months.
You gotta find what you like first.

Any axle back alone without other exhaust mods can only change the sound so much. A stock h pipe with cats will sound better with a chambered muffler such as a Flowmaster or Pypes violators. However once you either change headers or the mid pipe, an axle back can have a greater effect to the sound.
I too am on my third setup, so my advice would be to pick up a used set of flowmaster for cheap. You will like them. Then start planning on what you want to do longer term.
Good luck!

I like the pypes axle backs, I took my mufflers off though and didn't like the sound, I'll assume it's about the same for a muffler delete

Well no mufflers u don't have anything the slp cat back is a muffler delet it's a tip but the inside of it is coated and gos from a 2.5 diameter to 4" diameter and resonates the sound off the smooth coated walls to produce and different louder sound

I thought that was the case. I wondered why you would pay $300 for a muffler delete when you could just run a pipe

I personally thought it sounded pretty good with the cats and h pipe still on. Then I put headers an o/rx on and it was obnoxious.
