If you didn't like the steeda.. Honestly I doubt you will like the hurst... IMO they felt the exact same.. Never drove one with the Barton..

I am also in the market for a new shifter, I am told that Barton makes a really great shifter, I know a guy that has one in his 11 and he says it's the best one he's had compared to the Steeda, hurst Wich he's had and swears by it. I'm going with Barton, it's more cash but some times you get what you pay for IMO.

Neither! MGW is absolutely the best one on the market.
If you take all the pros of the Hurst, Steeda, and Pro 5.0, then add incredible smoothness and the most responsive shift mechanism I've ever seen, then you get the MGW.
my dad has a Hurst in his 07 GT and he tells me he's jealous of my MGW every time he drives my car. I can't stand driving his because of the shifter; the Hurst is like trying to jam a stick through sand to me.

Whaaaat? Nah, just giving you a hard time.
I've never driven a Barton so I can't really offer advice.
What don't you like about the MGW?

Zaks06GT,

This is a frequent comparison! They are both great products. I don't think you can go wrong! The Barton is made from top notch Billet aluminum for a light weight feel & a polyurethane bushing set up, making the shifting of gears a breeze! The hurst uses a steel set up, which has its pluses as well. Since it has a little bit of weight to it you can bang gears very easy.

I See you are not a fan of the MGW, so I am not sure if you will like a stainless steel set up!

Remember this is just my opinion! I hope this makes your decision a little bit easier!

Hit me up if you have any questions or need some further assistance!

- Dan

I really don't drive the car about 7k miles a year and want more for looks, I don't race it at all, I just didn't like the steeda looks or how bad it is to get into gears, the MGW is not a bad product I just don't want it

My original idea was steeda. But I've since changed my mind to Barton. Mgw looks cool but I love the flat stick style of the Barton.

I like the hurst, I was going to sell it and get the mgw or pro 5.0 because of what everyone was saying, then I felt the mgw and I was not impressed at all, ya it's made better, should be cause of the premium price tag, but the hurst just feels like a muscle car, if you want a short throw corolla shifter then by all means go that route, I personally think everything is sooooo over hyped on this board it's insane
