Exhaust setup

Installed SLP high flow cats and x-pipe, also Pypes muffler delete axel backs. And already had JLT cold air. God it sounds mean! Couldn't have a better setup as far as sound then that!

You could... add mufflers... it will make your car sound "good" again... loud noise does not equate to sounding good...

My flowmasters with offroad H sound PERFECT at low rpm but if I go WOT or try and pass on the interstate its REALLY buzzy. Sounds like a ricer is flooring if beside me.

They sounded good until I added the h-pipe. Not sure what's causing it.

There has to be something resonating with your exhaust. Def shouldn't sound like a buzzing. Is there heat shields anywhere? Sometimes if you just bend them some, it will change the frequency that will make them buzz.

I'd like to hear it if you have any video of your exhaust. I have the Flowmaster cat back that is essentially muffler delete. Which Flowmaster setup do you have?

Deffenatly sounds buzzy. Best way I can describe it is sounds like there's a loose penny inside the pipe but it's ONLY between 2,800 rpm and 3,300 than it goes away but ive looked over every centimeter on exhaust pipe and I can't find it any wear. The exhaust shop just said I was crazy and they wouldn't even look at it

I had flow Master American thunders that did the buzz thing at idle and at 2500-3000 rpm range as well. Does blowing baffles have anything to do with buzz?

That's what makes me think it's resonating something under the car. It hits that RPM and starts making something dance, then it will stop once it gets past that resonating point.

Will it do this if you rev it without moving? If so, it might be easier to try some stuff that could help you find out if it's inside or outside the system.

It does do it when I rev it I feel bad holding the engine at that high RPMs in neutral long enough to try and pinpoint it

Yeah I wouldn't hold it there either Can you hear just revving up to it quickly? Of so, see if you can find something that you can wedge between the muffler and the body/frame. Like insulation or a small block of wood. By wedge, I mean something that goes against your exhaust and frame enough to give it stability, not that will damage anything. You just want to give some stability to the exhaust to isolate what might be making this noise. Now you can repeat the rev to see if the buzz changes. You can move your wedge thingy to different locations once you have tried it.

I have longtubes... bassani off road x and stingers... still get a nasty rattle... I'm switching to an off road h due to x pipes on 3v sound horrible IMO... only 3v that don't rattle are running mid mufflers... I'll sell these borlas at some point and pick up some bullet style mufflers

Most people I encounter do not hear it until it's pointed out to them... I've been to several muffler shops all of witch say they do not hear it... I'm starting to think it's the valve train echoing through the exhaust... all I know is it sounds down right horrible.... it is more noticeable when you have after market mid pipe... it was not as bad when I just had axle backs...

I'm starting to think it may just be the sounds through the pipe on mine too. I've had it in 3 shops and nobody can fix it so I'm thinking maybe LT headers might help
