need help!

So I got a cold air intake and a tuner from American muscle put it on loaded the tune was great. Until I turned on the air. Idle drops super low when air goes on. Called got a new tune and didn't help. I can sit at idle at 750 with no air consistently but as soon as i turn on the air it drops to 500 or below and jumps up and down between that and 700 ish. Turn air off and goes right back to 750 so what could cause this? My car already died from it once want to resolve the issue so i don't die in traffic again.

Does your tuner have a modify tune? I have a predator and I can modify any tune that's in it. One of the options is idle speed. If you can, see if you can bump it up a little. Do you have an automatic? Ive heard of this happening but only on autos.

Joel_L_H,

I apologize for the inconvenience with your Bama tunes. We can defiantly fix your problem, it sounds like we just need to open your AC tables and make a few minor adjustments.

Raising your idle from the device would technically work. However that would just raise your idle all together. There is a different table that can be adjusted for when the AC is turned on (when you turn the AC on it throws a load on the engine).

I am going to get you in direct contact with my head tuning specialist Mike Wilson. I am confident that he will be able to get you squared away.

PM me your order # & I will have him contact you this afternoon.

Thanks or sticking it out with us while we correct your problem, we greatly appreciate it!

You will be enjoying your tunes in no time.

- Dan

So got a hold of the head tuner but he had to leave work before i got out so ill have to wait till Tuesday to try to figure this out. But now its worse and back in failsafe engine mode. And I'm about ready to take it off tune to stock and send this back to American muscle and order from someone else. I can't even drive my car.

I also have the C&L racer with the predator tuner and I have not had any problems. The guys at C&L are also very helpful when I call with technical questions.
