I want a deep, loud, and something that sounds incredible mean exhaust. I have an 06 GT, no engine modifications. Any opinions?

Get a good axleback, you will probably wanna go off road H pipe, x pipe will be louder and raspy. But the H pipe is a deeper sound. That should sound good. As far as headers i dont know, im sure someone on here will give you a good idea on headers

Here's mine before my h pipe. Its flowmaster 40's they sounded REALLY deep and you could feel the rumble on start up.

I added a offroad H and it doesn't sound the best with the flows.

The Pypes pype bomb set is basically a re-branded Roush axle back.

Re: Exhaust

If you want something loud and super deep, I think you'll like the sound of Mac O/R Prochamber with Mac axle-backs.

I have an 06 GT and I have pypes muffler deletes and they sound amazing. I also have an SLP x pipe with high flow cats and that makes it even louder. I have one of the loudest cars around my town. Jake also has pypes and they are cheep and good quality!

High flow cats will still pass emissions correct?

I want decently loud and deep sound. Not crazy loud but def want ppl to know its there. Only thing I've changed is mufflers for some Flowmaster 2 chamber. And it didn't change much at all. I'm just curious is the high flows gonna change enough.

High flows won't change the sound a whole lot. I'f you want different sound you'll have to switch mid pipe or axle backs. If you want it loud loud switch to a muffler delete axel back. If you want to keep mufflers id go with borla s type axel backs.

Mine sounds good. Very loud but also deep clean sound. I love the sound

---------- Post added at 09:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:41 PM ----------

SLP Loudmouth axel backs or pypes muffler deletes are both good options. But honestly I'd go with the SLP the pypes have fitment problems if you were doing it yourself I'd go with SLP but if someone is doing it for you I'd go with pypes. Both affordable good axel backs that sound like a pissed off mustang on steroids

Idk know what slp is and I'm assuming mufflers deletes is just that no mufflers. I don't know all the different exhaust features. Normally I just get some mufflers.

SLP is a brand they have very good stuff. SLP loudmouth is a type of axel back. Go to American muscle . C o m and look up different exhaust sounds. They have anything a mustang can have on there

Is there a difference between the muffler delete system and just cutting off the mufflers and welding back pipes.

Huge difference. I took off my mufflers and my car was loud but it Didint sound good at all. Added MAC boom tubes and it has that deep rumble. It's something about the tips they resonate the sound or something you can see in the photo it's not just pipe. BUT you could have pipes welded on for like $70 bucks vs $390 ish for the MAC's

Yeah I wouldnt cut your mufflers off. Of you going with the muffler delete then I would buy an axle back with a muffler delete not cut your mufflers off

The cat backs should just clamp up to the end of the x pipe. Where the normal mid pipe does, right?
