4.10 gears from americanmuscle?

Looking at the ford racing 4.10 gears for my 05 gt manual... do I need the instal kit with the bearing? Or just the install kit? And what about trac loc rebuild carbon disc? most likely having my buddy who does everything with cars do it in driveway...

All depends on mileage. Not a job for a shade tree mech.

You should only need install kit.

I had mine done at the ford dealer. They did an AWESOME job but I did need the bearings they charged me only a few $$ more than AM so I bought them from them instead of waiting for shipping. They charged about $550 total but I Didint want to chance having any gear whine. So far it's as quiet as stock and I've got 1,500 miles on em!

cory21,

Great choice, gears are one of the most important mods in my eyes! I would highly recommend purchasing the install & bearing kit. Mainly because you are only going to be in the rear once, I would hate to see you go through the work of putting in the gears then the bearing/gasket or shims go bad. Make sure you guys triple check your work to make sure the shims are perfect, so you can prevent any whining!

The Traction lock will be plus but its not necessary.

I hope this helps, hit me up if you have any further questions!

- Dan
