Reccomended tranny fluid for 07 GT 5 Speed..?

I currently have 68k miles on my car and I wanted to change the transmission fluid. I have a 2007 mustang gt 5 speed manual (tr3650) and I've been trying to do research on what would be the best transmission fluid for me and i got 3 answers. Pennzoil synchromesh, royal purple synchro max MTF, and redline d4 ATF... I was wondering what you guys might have used and are happy with??

Thanks!

Speaking from experience as a technician I would stick with what ford recommends transmissions are designed to be used with a certain fluid use of the wrong fluid can cause big problems trans fluid and rear diff fluids are something that I stick with what the manufacturer calls for but that's just my opinion

I use Mobil1 exclusively, but I tell you what to do to get the best answer- Contact TREMEC directly and ask them. Ask them about regular and synthetics. I have contacted them before and got a real person with a lengthily explanation. The list was short for my 5 speed T5 transmission, Mobil1 automatic transmission fluid or Scyncromesh. For you and your transmission, please post what you do. Good Luck!

I added RP to my rear differential, engine and trans. They feel better except the transmission. Didn't notice anything better so when I decide to switch again, I'll go OEM in the transmission.

Same here, I run in the diff and motor, but I'll be switching to Mobil 1 next oil change

I agree! Ford has designed it to work with the car.

Re: Reccomended tranny fluid for 07 GT 5 Speed..?

I run RP in my motor and rear end. I really don't think there is a ton of difference except if using full synthetic's or not. You buy a good brand and you will probably be satisfied. I've used alot of different oils and because I stay up on regular maintenance I have no problems. I prefer synthetics, but to each their own. I agree with robb15033, ya can't go wrong calling the mfg. I'm out.
