Hey, i have a 1966 mustang and i came across a brand new 4.6L out of what i assume is a 05-09 GT, it has a Whipple 550hp supercharger already on it. Ive recently installed a Mustang II ifs and am now running into my trouble zone. What pcm, ecu, engine computer do i need to fun this monster? Can it be any ecu as long as its Off vehicle 05-09 4.6L? Or if you have any ideas on where i can find a pcm and wiring harness... and estimate on price? Also am i going to have to use the new style cluster or is there a way to use the under dash wiring harness for this motor and splice it in to work with the old cluster but new/custom gauges? Any and all help/advice is appreciated! Thanks

I would in the first place find out exactly what they did to it and what year and model car it came off of. I'm sure you could have painless wiring harness' build you a stand alone engine harness then you would just have to run your gauges...

Re: 4.6L

Haha thanks for the complaments guys it was plain looking when i bought it. I would get bored and start painting on it. Everything that has color on it i did, plan on painting the the car plack with red trim and red ghost stripes. I have the Eleanor body kit and low rise hood. Its going to be amazing when its finally done. But if yall come across anything feel free to share.

Ive thought about selling it... but its be so trick if i could get it in and working though. Something ive never seen in another 66...

Re: 4.6L

Once you chop out the old shock towers, that 3-valve will fit right in. I have not seen a 3v in a classic Mustang, but there are plenty of folks dropping Coyotes in, so the technical knowledge is out there.
I found this article:
