New head unit

Just installed this baby and it sounds sweet with my shaker 1000. This is what it should of sounded like stock.

Re: New head unit

I installed the Pioneer AVIC X940BT 2 days ago and with the full EQ and different Bass adjusters and frequency settings, you would swear I swapped the speakers and subs out, too. Sounds amazing!!

I had to use 2 washers behind each mounting bolt for the unit to eliminate the gap on the sides. Depends on the thickness of the washer, you may only be able to use one. I also wired the ground wires to a relay so I can play DVDs while driving. I have my mic sitting right on top of my steering column, and it works perfect and you don't have to run the wire far, it stays hidden behind the trimming.

Re: New head unit

My crutchfield kit left 0 gaps. On My AVIC X940 I grounded the parking brake wire to the main ground and remote and that is it. GPS and DVD unlocked during movement.

You have to play with your face trimming to lessen the gap, there is a tap at the top where the power outlet is, make sure you have it lined up best as you can.
