Good idea or not?

IM trying to sell my car but with I owe on it it might be a wile before I can get rid of it
(don't have to sell it for money reasons but my wife wants a new van or truck)
You can see my thread in the classifieds section.

Would it be a total waste of $$ to put cams in it? Would it add to the value of the car at all or subtract from the value? This is probably going to be my last "toy" for a wile and I've REALLY wanted to cam it.

I might have the car for 6 more months. Worth it or not?

I was thinking FRPP hot rod cams.

Mods add zero dollars to resale, and if you're in the hole might as well use that money to pay it off

Not worth the investment for resale

Kinda figured that was the case. I'll just put the 1k down on the loan. Sounds like that'll be better off in the long run

Re: Good idea or not?

Mods subtract value from 100% of cars. They MAY add value to someone looking for a modded car. Now, the work involved to install cams money wise will be the price of cams or more.

Re: Good idea or not?

mods 99% of the time do NOT ever add value, they are throw away. The only time you get money back out is if you sell to someone that wants those mods. Mostly they believe the car has been abused if its modified.... just how it is.

I would put it back to stock or perhaps try to sell it for just a BIT more than its worth without the mods and try to fine someone that wants a non stock Mustang.
