Cam help!!

I've heard people say you lose torque with cams, is this true? What kinda gains can I expect? Looking into the comp cams mutha thumpr or BBR. Any recommendations. My car will be supercharged in the next 6 months do take that into accommodation when making a recommendation.

To add to things we have heard about loss torque... was informed 4:10 gears and anything similar makes less torque but you pick up speed faster.... weird...

I am also gonna supercharge my car soon, in fact, with in the next few weeks. I want to change my cams also mainly for the sound but I'm worried about too much power. I'm installing a Roush 475 HP charger, I also have long tube headers. I'm told that you don't want to exceed 500 HP on a stock block so with my current mods I should be right at 500 with the charger. I think the cams would take me around 25 to 30 HP over 500. You might want to look into that before you install cams.

They say 500 is safe if the tune is spot on. 450 is the safe zone for a DD.

Certain cams work better with forced induction, look into the Blower cams from comp
