Annoying acceleration issue

(2007 GT, 29000 miles) in the morning and only in the morning there is a slight hesitation when turning over my engine. Maybe one second of delay before the motor turns on but my battery gauge reads fine. Then after I back out and try to accelerate my car will not accelerate like its supposed to just inching forward and then finally go but the exhaust and everything sounds like I'm going. Then after a little roll it's normal for the rest of the day, anyone else had this problem before?

Sounds like 2 different problems, go get your battery checked, it may be starting to go bad. As for the hesitation, I had a similar problem when the engine is cold. I cleaned my throttle body and it solved the problem. Just have someone turn your key in the on position and press the pedal all the way, this should open up the throttle body so you can clean it.

Re: Annoying acceleration issue

Hey ReggStang, do u have a auto trans or manual? If u have a auto trans does it seem like the trans is not engaging properly? If u have a manual trans, check the things that Caster Troy said. I had the close to the same problems u have and also cleaned my TB and MAF sensor and no problems now. Good luck and keep us informed.
