there are 1000's of reasons to buy a V6 Mustang over a V8, just because its not the right choice for you does not mean that it isnt for someone else.
It could be insurance, or its cheaper for a newer car (why buy an 03 cobra vs a newer V6... perhaps reliability etc who knows). Many may simply not need the extra power.
Heck, why buy an 05-09 GT when you can get a 2011 V6 with the same hp and basically the same performance for the same price and get a newer, different body style (newer style) along with a warranty and better mileage~ who knows
Be VERY thankful V6 owners picked the V6 due to the sales of the V6 ALLOW V8's to be produced, without selling V6 stangs there would be no V8 Mustang produced.

People buy v6's for a lot of reasons. Better gas mileage. Way cheaper insurance. Nice looking ride (mustangs are pretty, no matter a v6 or Shelby). Didn't have the money for a v8. Want something sporty but don't need something as powerful as a v8. V6 is still peppy, and still a muscle car. Especially compared to what a lot of people get now a days: 4cyl's for gas savings. Without the v6 there is no mustang, haters need to appreciate. We are all a mustang family bonded by the name, and you idiots that hate on v6's are breaking the brotherhood. The v6 is fast enough for plenty of normal people. Only the extremes are on these forums for the most part and that's why v8's matter so much here.

I've owned both a v6 and gt and I was dumb to buy the 6 I just rushed it when I was looking for a mustang. Don't get me wrong I loved that car but it was a no brainer to get a v8. Anyways its true though without the v6 there wouldn't be an 8. And all this about people can't afford a gt i think it's bogus, the new 6ers are over 26k.. With tht money you can buy a 03/04 cobra or 05-09 gt. I will believe maybe the gas mileage thing but not that they can't afford a different stang. But i love all stangs

If you like the body and want certain options, I don't see what the problem is. Many people, actually MOST people could care less for the V8, they just think the Mustang looks cool and that is it.
You dig me?

I've got a 12 V6 and I'm a bit disappointed with the power tbh. It's not terrible but was expecting more. I think it feels alright from around 20-80. Anything under or above is pretty slow imo. I've driven a couple 3v's and they are definitely quicker. You can really feel that extra torque. I think gears and a tune will help a lot on the 3.7. I would like to upgrade to a 5.0. But I gotta see if it'll be a good financial decision next year.

To me they're all mustangs. I started in a v6 and loved that car. Bought the v6 because I was 17 and bought a same year model v6 with under 20k miles for 13k. Never owned a new vehicle.
But...still haven't found a gt,ss, or rt around here that will keep up. They've started backing out in the staging lanes.

My take on v6 muscle cars....
If is see a sick looking Stang... then the owner starts the engine and is a six... it makes me feel like all my excitement was for nothing...
Or a gt that is insanely loud but only runs a 14...
