Horsepower suggestions

I know this has probably been repeated over and over on here, but I haven't been smart enough to look at the 05-09 forums since mine is a '10. What would you all suggest the first 5 things I buy for my car performance wise? Parts that will do the most for the money. Not necessarily cheap parts, but not a simple supercharged fix either. Thanks for the input!

Cai, Tuner, Full Exhaust, Gears, Cam. Somewhat close to that order.

It's a way better throttle response and plus if your just running it without any other mods then it's useless so I just trying to make all my parts flow well for some peak performance

Well, it's def better throttle response. Didn't dyno after so I dunno about HP gain. Although, if I put the stock one back on and my issues go away this weekend, I'll sacrifice the throttle response. If you do get a TB, I recommend the FRPP one. NOT the BBK. Never had the FRPP, but the BBK one is on my car. For now... Just my $.02.

Throttle response is also the tuner! When i got my tuner it was like a whole new car! The throttle response was increased so much the first time i backed my car up after loading my tune i spun the tires! Lol

So, in my case I think what I'll do after hearing your suggestions, I will get a CAI, Roush catbacks with high flow cats, tune, FRPP throttle body, and then maybe... Headers, cams, and a FRPP IM? I have 3.73 gears right now so I wouldn't know what to get if I did get new gears. Good?

The most popular gears would be 4.10's

At 3.73, your Gears are fine, leave them where they are. I think you should include the Headers with your first steps in Mods, everthing else you've chosen in fine also. The Throttle Body, I don't feel it's necessary now, but that's your choice. Start with those, If at a later time you have money for CAMS, then go that route, but that adventure is going to cost a little though.

Without gears, if he is 3.55 the dyno can be accurate. WHat gear did you dyno in '2007pullinaway'? Got the sheet? What were your torque numbers and curve?

OP, cai+tuner/gears/long tubes and TIRES.

The throttle response from the TB ca be duplicated with a tune 1-1 BUT the added flow on a medium to heavy modded car is worth it if you are looking for that extra hump. It will not however be a butt dyno difference. ET may or may not show a difference, especially if you get it installed with other mods simultaneously.

Don't get me wrong I think tb is a great investment for the right price... I picked up a $25 gt500 tb painted it high gloss black now I'm waiting on my adapter to arrive... the bbk I had added a cool sound when I blipped the throttle and throttle response was much quicker and the car seemed to accelerate faster once I got around 4 thousand rps... that was pre cmdp longtubes and stingers axle backs... why do mufflers make a difference u ask? Well I'll tell you because with two camber magnaflows on the same set up felt sluggish in comparison to stingers... maybe the magnaflows were choking the exhaust flow??

Either way buy you a used tb AFTER all other bolt ons r purchased... and try to stay under $200 shipped otherwise I think you might b throwing money away

Re: Horsepower suggestions

Mufflers generally do not add power as you said but I know with the pypes you get a true free flow since you can grab the muffler and look straight through one end to the other. No chambers or baffles.

They are baffled but not conventionally. It is still a straight through design
