Hood pins or no?

When I get upwards of up to 70 mph my hood vibrates up & down enough to bother me. I've heard good and bad things about hood pins. Convince me of it or give me another idea? Thanks in advance guys.

Sounds like you have some tires out of balance or something else going on if it is vibrating badly. I would check and fix that first.

Hood pins are always a good idea. They will serve as a secondary restraint if your factory latch should ever fail.

I prefer the twist lock style myself as they present a cleaner look and there are no clips or cables to worry about. However they are a LOT more expensive than pins, so choose according to your spending limits or wishes.

I have the old fashioned Shelby ones and I love the look of them and my hood never moves even at over 100 mph.

I say get them if you like them. Who's gonna make a big deal over hood pins saying Shelby. If anything say that's the name of your car

Don't worry about what other people might say or think.
There is nothing wrong with putting those on a V6, if that's what you want.

Shelby name on parts is more than OK... you are not implying your car is a Shelby by using theory parts... Shelby would be out of business w/o u and I buying their parts...

I really want a ton of their stuff all of witch have Shelby on em

I have an 06 GT and my hood does the same thing. The vehicle runs smooth and true, it's just the hood shutters at higher speeds and windy days.

Those are gonna be hella easy to install. This is what I did to my mustang.

http://www.mustangevolution.com/foru....php?p=1052336

It was quite a bit of work but it was extremely unique. I got a lot of compliments. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do for the new hood but I'm gonna do something awesome. Lol

My hood is a 3" cowl carbon fiber so pins were a must for me. I had wobble in the hood at 50mph+ so I got the Shelby ones and love em. I like the aggressive look it gave and No problems since.
