Front tie end boots

I took my 06 gt for service, they informed me that both front tie end boots are worn out/ torn... Is this something that needs to be replace ASAP or can it wait. What are their purpose also they say that my front brake disk have heat spots...
Any recommendation will appreciate your knowledge

The boots keep out dirt which will shorten the life of a tie rod. Its only a matter of time after the boots go that you will start to have play in the tie rod, and it won't be able to do what it was designed to do. Replace them and get an alignment and you'll be set. As far as heat spots it's going to cause warping which will cause brake pulsation and maybe noise. Replace the rotors and the pads also.

Thanks a lot, makes good sense. I'm planning on replacing them but in a couple of months. Money is a little short right now
