I personally would put the spare in the front and just take it home and keep it parked til I get a new tire lol those spares are ugly

Re: tire question

Then don't run a spare. Running two rear/or front tires that are of different diameter can be dangerous and will accelerate wear

Re: tire question

It would help if you listed the complete size of your tires. I will take it for granted that you are using the GT500 size 18" setup. So if that is correct using the spare is not a problem. The spare is 27" dia tire, the 285/45x18 is also a 27" tire

To correct you, the gt500 has 255/45/18 up front and a 285/40/18 in the rear

Re: tire question

Yes i know it was a typo, but still the 285/40x18 is still a 27" dia tire, same as spare, he said rear tire went flat.
