Re: Oil ?

My brother has a explorer with the 4.0,,and he read somewhere that the motorcfaft oil filter has check valve or something in it and using aftermarket filters was causing premature wear on the engine,,i would read up on that,,i dont know if it was a sell pitch or what

True, all premium filters have this valve, idk if it would cause premature wear, but for 4-5 dollars more why not

Re: Oil ?

I have heard a lot of talk that mobile 1 full syn is what a lot of people use. I talked to my friend that has had multiple speed racers in his lifetime and he says mobile 1 is basically sh*t. He uses AMS oil. Will anyone discuss this with experiences?

Oil is oil when you keep it changed. You see the differences when you don't.
