Re: check engine light

If you do not have a code reader? Then bring it to Autozone they will do a check for free and tell you the code. Then post and tell us what the code(s) are.

Re: check engine light

the older cars codes can be pulled with paperclip, jumper wires and a test light...these ones..I have no idea. might be a good idea to invest in a code reader...Autozone still does them here in AZ so I have no need to buy one...but if they stop...you can be sure I will buy one...

Freaking Cali that's why I got out of there

If you do not have a code reader it might be time to invest in one. Go online to eBay they are not that much.

I think that's about what I paid for mine. If you have the monies it's a good investment.

My custom tuner checks my engine codes. might invest a little more in a tuner, & get the code reader on it

Just a thought. Stuff as simple as a gas cap being loose can throw an engine code.

Re: check engine light

First i would check around and make sure its nothing obvious,,vac line,,sensor wire,,What about emmisions,,over here its 25 dollars,,and they give you the codes,,But a code reader is a must,,even if you dont work on cars,,sometimes its something real simple,,which will keep you from spending big bucks at a shop..
