Re: Torqueing down wheels?

5 steps, cross pattern to keep from warping the wheel or brake disk.

1. Lightly snug by hand to initially seat the nuts and to keep from lifting the rim off the hub when torquing the first nut.
2. Torque in the proper cross pattern to 50 ft lbs.
3. Torque in proper cross pattern to 75 ft lbs.
4. Torque in proper cross pattern to 100 ft lbs.
5. Torque in proper cross pattern to 100 ft lbs once more to ensure equal torquing has been accomplished.
