lowering

i have a 06 mustang gt and i was wondering if i could just cut the springs on the car to lower it. i need advice.

I think the general consensus for spring only lowering is this....

Adjustable panhard bar (minimum -- for any lowering beyond an inch)

Front caster/camber plates (optional).

Other than that, cut away! Keep in mind buying replacement springs is relatively cheap that will already lower by an exact amount and generally be stiffer (better handling).

You can do whatever your heart desires, it's your car. Although cutting springs is a horrible idea.

From what I've read one coil, your fine. More than that it may affect your suspension badly.

If you cut the springs they won't have a flattened area to seat correctly.
