I got painters tape and i carefully taped off along the stock vinyl. Spray the plastidip in one thick coat then pull the tape off before it sets.

And peeling it off the vinyl doesn't bother it?

Not a bit. The vinyl is on way better than the plasti dip. When washing it just lightly spray it down. The stuff repels everything pretty much. If you want a little extra shine then use a gel tire shine on it after cleaning. Oh and a tip for when spraying. Pop the hood and prop it up a bit so its as flat as possible. You also have to work fast after you're done spraying to get the tape off fast. If it sets itl stick to the tape instead.

Okay awesome, I still have not had the chance to mess around with any plasti dip yet ( as I just got my car) but you can get plasti dip in any color?

Not any color unless you have your own sprayer and you tint it from the liquid form instead of the spray on cans. Best site I've found for colors is dipyourcar. Com. The red I used is the normal red and the blue is the special blaze blue color.
