I have some OBX longtubes with an off road h pipe (they're eBay headers. The quality is good but the fitment is about a C+. I picked em up on Craigslist for $200), flowmaster axelbacks, a k&n CAI, and comp cams. It's loud and she booms.

H pipes tend to have a deeper more muscular sound, while x pipes have more of a raspier race car sound... They aren't too drastic in sound difference though, but you can tell.

So the sound is the only difference?

No performance or anything?

There is no "significant" performance difference between either for street built cars. Xs seem more common for our cars but IMO Hs sound better and have a more "classic muscle rumble".
