Cams Question

Heys everyone Im still new to the Mustang world. I was curious about the cams I test drove a mustang before i bought mine and I didnt like how it shook hard at the idle yeah at the track that would be cool but driving daily that would drive me nuts. The salesman said they were ford racing cams im starting to fall in love with the mutha thumprs for some reason. My question is do they mess with the overall ride of the vehicle im thinking that one had alot more done to it.

I have FRPP hot rod cams with a custom tune and mine shakes a idle. i personally like it, a more classic muscle car feel. but as far as the overall ride it does not mess with it.

Ok I was curious cause the one I drove shook really hard and i didnt like it at all. Now how loud does it make your exhaust can you still hear someone talk in the cab. I know i sound crazy but I drive this car daily and I want it loud but not so loud I get pulled over at night.

I have mutha thumprs. It gets louder. It shakes. That's part of the allure. If you have stock exhaust and gears you might wanna plan on upgrading them if you want cams. If the car stays stock with cams, the car will be over cammed, be hard to drive at low speeds, and you won't gain much in performance because the engine can't breathe properly. You'll at least want an h pipe and 373s. I have full bolt ons and 410s and she runs great. Ill post my power a little later this month when I get dynotuned. I'd recommend them but only if you plan on further modifying.

I've heard other guys with basically identical setups put down between 320-360rwhp. Not sure on the tq. Ill have CMDPs in a couple weeks. But right now power comes between 3500-6200rps according to my at-the-track butt dyno

Dude were thinking with the same brain it seems lol. At 360 to the wheels that should be roughly 400 at the flywheel.

360 to the wheels with all the bolt ons available is really stretching. 320- 330 is more realistic.

It's 300 flywheel HP. I think it's probably 260-270 at the wheels. Stock.

FULL bolt ons realistically 330ish to the WHEELS. That's probably 350-370 flywheel?

305fwhp 265rwhp stock. Full bolt ons, if I do indeed pull 330rwhp, is about 375ish fwhp. Rwhp is really the only relevant number.

You get about 260ish to the wheels stock, full bolt on's around 330, 2013's get 350 plus stock.
