I think you'll be fine with HIDs in them

You can install one of the aftermarket hid kits.

I recommend against it because they are illegal and unsafe to other drivers on the road.

Ultimately it is your decision

Call StangMods.

I have yet to find a set of HIDs made for raxioms. I have raxioms in my 08. Can't find them.
But StangMods is in the process of building a set specifically for the raxiom housings and should be calling me in a few weeks to let me know how it all works out.
Give them a buzz, and tell them you want some too, maybe they'll put some hurry up on it lol

Yupp, federal law. It is not highly enforced but not worth the hassle to me.

Agreed, my step dad is a Dallas police officer and hids are legal in some states, but not really enforced. But they are illegal in Texas, but I agree it's a bunch of bull****!

Welcome. I've been apprehensive about HIDs too. Until they emailed me today and let me know they finished putting together the kit I requested.

Aftermarket HIDs are supposedly illegal but factory HIDs are legal I believe. As to why they put them in there from the factory ? Beats me

True HID housings are designed completely different from a halogen housing. If you have ever driven a car with factory HID's the difference is unreal. The cut off on a true HID setup is an extremely crisp line. I have yet to see this on any halogen housing setup.

I still stand by my statement that there is no way to safely run HIDs in a halogen housing. Aiming them down will help with the scattered light but then you sacrifice vision which was probably your main reason for installing them to begin with.

These projector lights might be safer to run a HID setup in but it does not make them anymore legal than the other option.

I have no personal experience with the projector housings. I'm sure they are much better than the normal oem housings.

Just be sure to aim whatever setup you go with for best results.

Wow I didn't know there is finally an HID kit available for these headlights. That's sweet. I've always not liked the dim lighting. So now I think I'll be picking up this kit. Thanks!

These were made specifically for the raxiom housings. I'd pay it before I spent money on eBay.

Xentechid is the seller on eBay, 30 bucks shipped 2 year no questions asked warranty, people will hate on them cause they got but hurt into paying more for the same exact thing
