For the money??

I have a 2006 GT. No mods only exhaust and rims. My question is what mods should I start with first?

Do a cold air intake with a tuner. American muscle has deals where u can buy both together. You'll need a tuner for the 3.73 gears.

Get the JLT 3 intake don't waste your money on any other one and yes SCT tuner with the intake is the best starting point because most mods after you'll need a tune anyways

I was wondering why the JLT 3 intake and not a C&L intake.

I think the JLT 3 outperforms the C&L by like 2 or 3 HP. Which isn't noticeable. But I think it looks better and you can have it customized to match your car which is nice

Look I wasn't trying to bash anyone's intake, if you have a air raid or c&l racer your fine, I'm telling someone who doesn't have one to get the cheapest one because its proven better.

But if you have a k&n CAI or c&l no tune intake you've wasted your money

Agreed and it looks good under the hood imo plus you can have it painted to match the vehicle so another plus along with the performance.

not to thread highjack but quick question about those JLT cai's. I have a guy up here on craigslists thats selling his for a little bit more than half off the AM price. If I get it is there anything I should be looking for? Are there any parts that could be damaged or anything?

Not really just a tube and air filter, just make sure there's no cracks in the tube or MAF housing area
Should come with
Intake tube
Filter
Heat shield
Throttle body to intake tube hose
Also 2 screw for the MAF sensor

ok thanks, also any recommendation between tuners. I hear that the sct and bamas are nice. I know with ordering a Bama from AM you get free tunes. Would that be ok for the time being? I understand that a custom tune would be better but I don't plan on adding any big power adders as it would void my warranty

No need for a dyno tune until your car is pretty heavily modified. For now just get the sct tuner with free bama tunes. Can't go wrong there
