Will it fit?

That's what sh... Never mind.

Alright, so I bought magnaflow magnapack catback exhaust for my 06 gt. (I got it on craiglist for $200 but AM has a good picture for me to show you) I was wondering if I had to use the magna tail pipes or if the magnaflow mufflers will fit the stock tail pipes.

Does anyone know? Thanks!

So you just want to use the axleback portion and leave the stock over axle pipes?

Not a dumb question, just trying to make sure I understood the question before answering.

As far as it fitting, since you said you already bought it, you can always test fit just the axlebacks. With it being a catback set, designed to be used together, the piping may route slightly different. If they don't line up, at least you've already got the over axle pipes. I personally would just go ahead and install the whole set

Yeah, seems like the best idea. I can't take the lazy route out on this one. Thanks for the input I appreciate it!

Magnaflow makes 2 different setups (not counting the magnaflow / magnapack / etc) ..

Catback and axle back are different.

Axle back = bolts onto your stock pipes

Cat back = different shape/route/approach angle for the axle back portion

I ran into this problem when I wanted to go to magnaflow vs the magnapacks (magnapacks were TOO loud/too crazy for my tastes.. couldn't even hear the blower whine, magnaflows are perfect so far)

Previous owner claimed it was just an axle back, so ordered just an axle back.. Didn't line up.. did more digging, found he'd had the full catback kit - ended up buying a full catback kit, selling the axle backs, then selling the magnapack setup

Magnaflow and Magnapack full catback kits are interchangeable but not catback piping and axle back mufflers, if that makes sense

Yeah, I tried doing the cat backs today with out removing the axle. Epic fail. I got pissed and half assed the mufflers back on then called a shop and they said they will do it for $50.

I'm going to be running that set with an off road h. Will it sound too loud? Now I'm concerned. :/

It all depends on what you like.. .To me - it was loud inside the car and my friends could hear me coming from a mile away - the magnapack is way more high pitched / you hear any popping noises from your exhaust while decelerating / etc.. Magnaflow gives a better sound IMO, but I'm used to the mellow yet menacing tones, that still rumble when you get on it - magnapacks are just.. loud

I'm using a catted magnaflow xpipe, too.. I couldn't imagine the packs without cats
