Illuminated door sill plates.

Hi all, since the zombie apocalypse did not happen last year, i guess it is safe to continue modding out my stang. i was looking on AM and saw some CDC Illuminated Door Sill Plates - GT/CS (05-13 ALL) and was thinking about getting them. I just wanted to know if anyone else has them, or have seen them in person. Normally they have a video on their products, or pictures posted, but not this time. And I don't feel like throwing that much money down the drain if they look bad.

I was thinking of these also, but was afraid I would scuff them up.
If you are really thinking of buying these, check out Ebay
first as I see they are selling for about $100, and look to be the same.

I looked at the one ones on e-bay and unlike AM they do not sell everything, most of them require additional stuff, and thAn add in shipping cost, it is about the same price if not more.

I got the am ones for Christmas but they are sitting in my closet until it warms up outside.
Need to pull off some trim to wire them I guess.
I'm also afraid of scuffing them, but in the summer it's a daily driver so oh well.

Well if you do have the ambient option it's just plug an play if you don't you just have to splice into your dome light which is what the instructions said to do

When you go to install these, you don't need to pull off the trim.I installed extra led strip lighting and used a small flat screwdriver. You just need to tuck the wiring gently in
under the trim.It worked for me, and was less trouble.I avoid removing trim if I
don't have to.

Yes,it is very easy and also not expensive.I bought 12 volt led light strips, off of
Ebay.I ran power wire, from my front dome light switch.I put one light in each front footwell.I put the other two lights on each side of the ceiling door trim. All the
lights are wired in parallel.

Nice what year stang ? ! It looks like it's all the same color which is cool. In 05 they didn't have the footwell lights that came with it so I had to put aftermarket ones on. I made them blue but it would be better if it was all the same color like yours !

Well since my 05 didn't have the plug 3 wires control the color you want you just tie the volt source to the right combination til you get the color you want takes like 2 mins to find out all the combinations it offers

When u install these on 05-10 I think you can only select one color. The hardest part is taking your time removing interior bits. Remember its all plastic parts and easily broken.
