Which combo? Most CAIs so the same thing anyway, all the difference you see will come with the tune.

With it, you will notice a slightly deeper exhaust tone (because of the intake), better throttle response. And a noticeable amount of power. And if you are an auto then you will have must better/stiffer shift points... There are a few other things, but i can't remember them off the top of my head... People always say an intake + tune will make a night and day difference in feel.

Same here! That's the first big mod I'm looking at. My coworker keeps telling me look at used stuff but I'd rather buy it all new so I know what I'm getting.

Did it make a big difference? How hard is it to install the programmer?

Yes it did throttle response and mid range it wayy better. I played around with all three tunes. I didnt see a huge diffrence between street and performance. But the 93 race tune is awesome. I may reinstall my 87 because 93 is 4.00 a gallon geez. The install is a breeze just follow the prompts.

It got a deeper note, I love it plus it looks great under the hood. You can really hear it breath when you hit the throttle.

Hey bro, you might want to look into the "C & L CAI" it's able to use with out a tune with a calibration insert for like $357 at AM. When youre ready to buy the tuner just take out the insert and you will see bigger gains. But this route is a good way to get the ball rolling, unless you got your mind set on certain products from certain brands. JLT is a good CAI but most of those intakes are all the same with a tune except for the diameter of the tube.

Thanks for the heads up. I've heard good things about C&L also! Good to know. Love this forum.

The JLT 3 is the only intake that really doesn't fall under the same "any intake" because it is 110MM and has proven to put out a little more hp than the rest of them.
