That may have been a little far. I don't hate the LS Motors. I agree with you all that they are pretty beast but I stay loyal to ford. However I would love a trans am ws6. But I would take a Termi over any gm.

Well termis are from 03/04 youre talking about a brand spanking new 5.0. 03 was 10 years ago... A lot has changed in 10 years.... Termis are still fast as hell.... And so are 5.0s but again 10 years old VS brand new

GM is bad *** also! Here is the other mustangs of my family. The fox body on the right has a CHEVY motor in it and is 1,400hp and the 03 cobra on the right is 580hp.

Exactly. Now I just don't like the looks of maros. And yeah like he said termis are now 10 years old. But at the time they were king and still beast.

I was also thinking what if I got my engine bored out? Haven't people bored the 4.6 to a 5.0? Is that possible? And is it safe? Also how much would that cost... Ballpark?

Yeah that's what I was thinking of, stroking it to a 5 or so. Do you know how much that'd run me?

I'm ROLLING at all of this "loyalty" stuff. These are cars...not gangs.

I've owned both and love both. Just sold my '06 GTO (cai, cam, exhaust = 415/393). Some of you "mustNgz 4 lyfe" guys need to drive an ls motor before you start flapping your gums.

Once again. I'm not bashing on LS motors. Looks mean a lot. Camaros ugly. Goats ugly. Vettes pretty sexy. GTO's are fat as hell and looks like hell too. Now they are fast. My friend has one, I respect it. I don't like it whatsoever. I watched your video of your goat it sound badass.

I love the look of the 2001 SS CAMARO, t tops.... What put me off from buying a mustang was how ugly the new edges where and the fact you'll never see 12s with bolt on. So I choose a cobalt over a new edge. I would of got a Camaro but they were a little to pricy for used and the cheaper ones were beat up

I kinda like them, but the fronts are ugly imo. I could get used to it I'm sure. But I would rather have a trans am. I will own one some day. Hopefully but I like the new edge. Everyone has there own likes.

I love the new Camaro, just not as fast as it should be and no room inside.

BTW the goat is only about 100 lbs heavier than the 5.0- they look bigger I guess than they are.

I was a Ford guy first, but after the Goat I'll always love ls motors.

Wow, I clicked in here thinking I would find info on "maxing out a 4.6."
WTF did I walk into?

I'm not a Ford tech or an ASE certified tech or even a sweep the floors of a performance shop tech...just a car fan, avid reader/researcher and a car lover in general.

IMHO- "maxing out" a 4.6 isn't going to be worth the money. I'd sell it, buy a 5.0 (or 03-04 cobra/ls1-2-3etc) and build from there.

Why cobra, same 4.6 with just a crappy IRS and weak uni body

Who said a new edge can't run 12's with bolt ons? I almost did it on my 02 gt. all I was missing was headers and a tune and I was in the 12's

Almost doesn't count

And there's a reason why when you look up 03/04 cobras on YouTube it's all highway racing hardly ever from a dig

You can make a 4.6 fast, one of the fastest street cars up in Chicago is a 3v. He runs a blower and nitrous tho

And I will say I do have a loyalty to ford. 7 cars in the family 6 fords 1 Lincoln. Wouldn't have it any other way. You seriously got some problems if your gonna throw a fit it a question and then turn around and say you would rather just own a gm. Do your swap and leave the form.

I once had a 79 pace car. Fox body four banger. I beat ls1 in it. I lifted front wheels on second gear shifts. I beat cobra mustangs, 5.0's and 4.6's. even layed the smack down on a few firehawks. Corvettes couldn't touch my top end. Granted I had a .030 overbore and was 100% balanced and blueprinted. So while I know my 05 will tear one down, I am pretty sure my 04 will also. And if not, like my wife tells my car anytime it loose, don't worry, we will get more parts!! The thing is, displacement is required to make power. So when u start with larger displacement power is easier to make. If I wanted it to be easy, I'd buy a $500000.00+ car and be done with it. The fact someone can beat me makes it fun.
