I had the same problem it can be many things I got shocks struts swaybar bushings were f*** it gets very pricy there is a suspension kit on american muscle called eibach pro-system-plus I honestly would do that instead of getting piece by piece and you also get lowering springs with it so that's always nice

Brenspeed has the GT500 KR shocks struts, springs and mounts for $329 or $399 fully assembled. It lowers it 1/2" too. I just ordered them. That's almost half price.

You can get different springs and lower it more for $200 more, I think. It's an option when ordering.

Make sure your strut bolts are tight mine rattled over every bump and I checked mine and they we're loose and that solved the rattle

Yep, definitely want to AT LEAST replace your strut mounts, struts and shocks. They all seem to go bad in the 60,000-80,000 mile range (depending on how well you treat your car). Either get some new OEM's or upgrade to Ford Racing/Koni/Steeda/Eibach etc.
