Tuner, CAI, headers, and catback exhaust for starters...then if you've got the cash then throttle body, intake manifold, cams, heads, etc. the works!

Its usually cheapest, to restore lost horsepower, i.e. Tune-up, exhaust optimization, lowering unsprung mass, lightening your rotating parts, like driveshaft. Gears are cheap and you WILL notice the difference.

Mid pipe and headers will really improve your exhaust bro.

This is such a broad question it is almost impossible to answer. Give us something to work with. Like HP goal? 1/4 Mile goal? ETC you know what I mean? How much MORE power do you want and how much money do you have to spend.

Please, please, please don't say "maxed out".

"NOS" is a brand. Correct term is nitrous.

A budget would've been good too.

Built motor and nitrous. Or supercharger or turbo.

You could put a new 4v 302 crate motor in it. I'm sure that'd get you pretty close to your goal. Plus it will respond to mods much better.

Building an 11.00 s197 is no small build. Your looking at a full suspension setup, drag slicks, a built engine and a serious power adder.

I don't mean to steal the spotlight but after you have answered the initial question maybe you could help me out too. I'm on a tight budget so would only be able to do one thing to my Mustang. Nothing like a supercharger or the like, but what gives you the most bang for your Buck? I already Have a k&n cai and borla axlebacks. Not that that's anything special just giving the whole situation.

Do you have a bamma SCT tuner? If not than that is a MUST.

I think they have an 11.9 sec bolt on 3v with full suspension and slicks

If you did gears, suspension, a few bolts with slicks and you can hit mid 12s with practice then spray a little 75 shot and your there and you won't hurt the motor with that little amount of nitrous

The best mod you can do is DRIVER MOD, I'm close to 12s with just gears and tune on street tires, now I added more I have a learning curve but I'm plan on getting mid to high 12s

With off road xpipe, jlt 3, tune, 410s and Udps with weight reduction and drag wheels

People have entered 11s all motor on a 3V. Research MattD. He blew it eventually and is now on a coyote swap.

On street tires, heads and upgraded valvetrain and better cam than what I got will net you an 11. On some ET streets like yours, 11s are in the car on 4.10s or 4.30s with a car equipped like mine.
