FRPP or Mutha Thumpr Camshafts

So I'm finally am ready to upgrade my camshafts. I've narrowed it down to either the FRPP Hot Rod Cams or the Comp Mutha Thumpr Cams. I'm leaning towards the FRPP only because it doesn't require the extra phaser limiter kits. However, all the videos of the Mutha Thumpr sound amazing. I've heard the Mutha Thumpr cams causes more driveability issues in comparison to the FRPP cams. Has anyone installed either one of these camshafts and have any advice on the sound & install?

FYI, its for a 2008 Mustang GT with Pypes Longtubes, Pypes cat-less H pipe, and Pypes Pype Bomb Axle Back.

Between those two cams I would definitely go with the hot rod cams. The mutha thumprs are mostly for sound. There not too much of a performance cam. Not saying you won't see a gain with them but the hot rods are definitely a better choice if you want sound and performance. Ive heard the hot rods quite a few times in person and they sound sick!

I have hot rod cams and wouldn't have gone any other way. Totally in love.

I've been throwing cams around but haven't jumped on it yet, but from what I've collected the brenspeed cams are "suppose" to be better...that's just what I've found from dyno results and others opinions online

I also have the Hot Rod Cams. I love them! I did put gears in about 1 month after I did the cams. I just felt like I lost a lot of bottom end. But the pull in the upper RPM'S is incredible. I love them and wouldn't go any other way.

I'm leaning heavily towards the HotRods. I saw the Detroit Rockers, only problem is I use Bama tunes for life. I would assume that Bama would not tune the Detroit Rockers especially since the specs of the rockers are unlisted.

Bama WILL tune it. I already went through this with my car.

The specs are included when you buy the cams. You're good. Hot Rods are often difficult to tune for power and drive ability simultaneously.

Not fast enough for the mods. Even then, I am sure you have much more left in the car. The order of cams would probably best to worst is:

Brenspeed
FRPP
Motha' Thump'r.

What is your opinion for the order of cams in regards to best looney idle sound?

Hmm, I never pay it any thought because it is never even a care for me. Mine lopes very loudly, but lope can be adjusted by the tuner if you absolutely NEED it.

You can't adjust the lope, but lower the idle to make it more noticeable

+1 I did it and the difference of 100 rpms is pretty impressive.

Which is what I meant, but with the addition of cam angle, a sound can be manipulated in a small window.
