I've got the chance to buy a set of used Borla stingers off a 07 shelby gt500 for my 08 GT. Is it a good idea to buy used axlebacks? What are the things I should look for? I'm getting a wicked deal on them ($300 cash or $50 and an sct sf3/x3 that I currently don't use). What are your guys' thoughts? I would be getting them saturday.

Oh and he said he's getting rid of them for something more "stealth" (he said borla touring) because he has bought it and It had o/r x and kooks long tubes.

i'd say go for it, my entire exhaust set up was bought used from a guy on craigslist, complete mac set up for 275 dollars including headers, prochamber and axlebacks. From the pics they look solid and borla is a excellent brand. Go for it!

Axle back is just an axle back. As long as it doesn't have bends, serious rust or cracks you'll be fine.

That tuner, is it an EXTRA one? You should hang on to it if you don't have one.

From your pictures they look pretty good, I say go for it. I have both bought and sold axle backs for my car and I would do it again. Good luck with the install and I hope you like the new sound!

I've bought plenty if used stuff before, there's nothing wrong with it especially considering the new stuff will look like the used stuff in no time!
