Step 1: remove wheels

Step 2: wipe wheels clean with alcohol prep wipes

Step 3: using painters tape, tape off outer chrome lip and center cap

Step 4: apply light coats of paint, allowing 10 minutes in between coats until desired look is achieved

Step 5: slowly remove tape, carefully inspecting to ensure paint is not pealing with tape

Step 6: carefully reinstall wheels

Step 7: stand back and enjoy

If you would have sanded the paint would probably stay better but it still looks good, let me know how it holds up!

Sounds like you did a good job on the wheels! If you applied 5 coats I wouldn't sweat it if I were you. They'll be fine.

They did come out looking pretty sharp! Now you just need some tire shine to make those tires pop.

That looks awesome. I might do the same. Beats paying loads of $ for new wheels

Don't think repainting a couple coats in a year would be too much of a hassle if there is some chipping
