Best stock tires for a 08 GT?

Hey folks I'm getting ready to need a set of tires for my 08GT. 17" rims. I have been very happy with the P-Zero's that came with it but was wondering if anyone had experience with a better tire. Texas driving, so some rain and cold in winter. I don't dog it but every now and then, but I do like to do some high speed corning heel and toe shifting.

Ive been driving with the cooper RS3-A for a couple months an they are very nice. Great handling, look good, and aren't expensive. Give them a look.

Thanks stang2008. I will check them out. Since I put in 410's I get wheel hop in 1st and second and when the P Zeros are cold and it's wet I have to drive like I'm on ice. That's been the only thing I haven't liked about them other than the price

Have you put LCA's in? they help tons with wheel hop.

It came with eagle F1 tires though. When it was time to replace them I went with Nittos 555 because they was about the same price and it actually rode smoother and also hooked pretty good too.

I was not impressed with Nitto tires performance in comparison to MT tires as Nittos are horrible in the rain even with traction control. BFG KDW2, Eagle F1's and even MT's new UHP tire are good options. The MT's would be my choice.

I never had any problems or issue with Nitto tires. They worked perfectly for me.

pirelli pzero nero tires suck...everytime I jump on the throttle these pieces of crap just break loose. can't wait to replace them...most likely go with the 555s when it's time.

Like I said" I do not Dog Drag very often" I like to do slaloms and high speed corning. I have 50k on my P Zeros. But as was said when I try to do a little drag they just break loose and hop.

I have just the stock 3.55 gears...can't imagine how bad these would be with 4.10s...the tires alone are the reason I've yet to even get a tuner and cai...I already have traction issues and more power would just make the problem worse.

I've had the rear end slide out on me during some spirited driving in the mountains...these tires have almost 30k miles on them and do nothing to inspire confidence in speeds exceeding 75mph in the corners. And they have plenty of tread left so I'm stuck with them for a while it looks...

A local Discount tire has a set of 255/50/17 Nitto Invo's. I looked at them and I think that's the way I will go after reading and researching them.?
