V6 to GT

I'm now a part of the GT side of the forum. My V6 got totaled so after 3 months of not having a car I finally found the car I've been looking for.

I don't know why I didn't go GT first I guess I just wasn't thinking hahaha. I fell in love with it after the test drive. He held the car for me for a week, which was very nice of him because I wasn't the only person looking at the car. I haven't driven a stick since 94' I did notice that first gear isn't quite where I keep thinking it is so when I'm sitting at the light I put it in 2nd gear then 1st, after doing that a couple of times I can put it into 1st gear with no problems ( I know rookie move )

Hey it's just casual street driving, do what you need to do until you are most comfortable! You will definitely fall in love with driving a stick in a v8, so much fun pounding gears getting onto the freeway!

My neighbor came out because he said he heard the deep rumble and I laughed. I need to take it to the track so that I can open it up. The response on the freeway is fantastic!!!! Thanks everybody for the great responses. I'm still smiling about my new purchase.

Oh man I can only imagine how you must feel going from a V6 pony to a GT... Super jealous man.

What year is it, and how many miles? The paint looks great, engine bay looks great, I'd just remove that chrome foglight trim and replace those tail lights with stock. Have fun!

It's a 06' with 70k miles. I'm going to black out the head/ fog lights and tai lights. Black vinyl on the turn and quarter lights and get the black gas cover. Basically having to re-order everything I had on my V6 from AM.

Love the wheels! Your "black out" plan is going to look awesome!
Is your CAI missing the gasket where the hose goes through the shield? I would think that would let too much engine heat to the air intake. I have lots of questions about your CAI unless you put it in post purchase. I'm curious how that worked with the transaction.

All black is a killer look. Was the car lowered or is it just shadow. Looks amazing anyway.

I'm taking to a K&N installer tomorrow to see if they have a fix for the gap or switch out the heat shield.

I just got back from a K&N installer and he said that gap is common with K&N filters
