Roush short shifter

How is it compared to stock? I found one craigslist for 80 bucks. Is it a good improvement?

Nearly anything is an improvement over stock. You won't almost hit the radio anymore when going for third.

I love the Hurst. But I got the billet one, its beefier than the standard Hurst and not much more money. But everyone has their preference. The problem is that it's hard to try the different ones out first hand.

Not trying to steal someone thread here. I have a few questions. Just trying to get an understanding about these shifters. First: Can you just change the handle. Second isn't really a question just something I thought. I had a 93 LX 5.0 I installed a short throw shifter in it. The 08 I have now is just about the same size as the one I put in my 93. I don't know if the shifter has been changed in mine. Because I got mine used.

Changing the handle doesn't change the throw. Show a pic of your current shifter.

Is there any rattle or cabin noise with this one? I was reading reviews on AM the other day and some people were complaint about it being too loud and others saying no noise what so ever...

No rattle its solid. I don't have any cabin noise. When installing you reuse the lower rubber weather seal and I think some people don't reinstall it by mistake. I have no complaints.

The piece under the leather boot in the cabin. There is a rubber boot that seals it from the outside under the car. It was a factory part.
