Depending if you're trying to sell it local or market it on auto trader or something like that. I see 05 with that kinda mileage going for 10-12k$

I think the 05-09 GTs are holding value well an still selling at those prices because the new ones are so expensive. $30k and above and at least like $32k for the new new ones.

Went to car max and this Mitsubishi dealership and they both quoted me the same thing. The Car max ppl actually took it in the back and looked at it but the other one thought I was just some dumb kid trying to get a evo.

Unless private seller
That's why I went to a dealership and they gave me a really good deal bcuz my uncle is friends with the owner and they advertise any car any color and I haven't been pleased with over 10 cars in the past 6 months. Not to mention they only made 800 on the sale we bout it for 17500 the guy put over 3k worth of parts that americanmuscle sales I know he took care of because he traded it for the 08 Shelby cobra I couldn't get financed lol

I've been looking at new cars since I'm going back to school. 08 gt premium with 47k miles on it. Dealer offered me $16k. Seems good based on some responses but with others seems I should get a little more. Ughh

Yeah that's what I thought till I saw your post lol. But I just got off the phone with the salesman and he's gonna try and get more but its hard with sport cars. You never know how hard they were driven, etc.

Mind if I ask what you traded your mustang in for? Any tips for maximizing trade in value.

Traded it back in 2010 for my 2011 5.0. Do you own the car or still have a lein on it? It you own it then use it as leverage. I let them know that I'm in no hurry to sell it and that I could sell it for more than what they are offering as a private sale. I didn't budge on my price. I turned it around on them and asked the question, "You do want to sell a car today, right"? They threw for different offers at me and followed up with a offer from the sales manager which I turned down. They finally asked what I wanted for it and I said my bottom dollar on a private sale is $18k and that is what I will take. In the end they gave me what I wanted.

Yeah I'm still paying it off. But I'm still doing the same thing as you said. I have all summer to figure out what I'm doing and so I'm in no hurry. I know I can probably at least 18k privately, its just if that would happen. I know its more complicated to sell privately when I still have a lein on it. So now I'm more leaning towards trading it in at a dealer to be more safe.

These cars don't have good resale value and dont usually bring book value I'd say you're 11 to 12500 tops. 9 model years old hard to bring 17 or 18k like some people said when you can buy a used 2011 5.0 for 20k..
