I think I'm gonna go ahead and take it to another shop. They keep pushing the days back, now it's Wednesday or Thursday. Then it's gonna be Friday.

Yeah that's probably for the best. If only there was a way for you to tune it yourself with that turbo. That would be perfect . Sorry these shops are full if d bags :-/

Hopefully you didn't pay them all of the money. I would have blown a gasket by now.

Do they know how to tune for a turbo? Seems like excuses for some reason.

Take a breath as my wife tells me all of the time.

Have you ever read the book Engine management: Advanced Tuning by Greg Banish?

He puts tuning in simple steps and helps you understand why things are the way the are with real life examples.

I just called and they say it's ready to be tuned Thursday. Don't get your hopes up though.

We can only hope. You should drop by unannounced and see what's going on if you have time.

Lol wow read though like the 1st 8 or 9 pages I think... stopped when ppl started talking about DART blocks. No need for a DART block on a Modular, that is for the pushrod guys. OEM modular blocks are good for well over 1000hp. The rotating assy obviously isn't unless you have a Terminator or a GT500.

Hope it all works out in the end and I hope the rest of the car can support this kind of power. At the 500hp level you are at the point where the 10 spline input shaft on that 3650 trans is going to be at its limit. Good idea to upgrade that to a 26 spline and I don't know what all is done to the rest of the car but suspension/suspension/suspension or you'll get beat at the track by guys making substantially less power.

Also, I would have just done a KB kit and called it a day for my money, espeically on a stick shift car but from the looks of it you are on the home stretch. Good luck with it and I hope it all turns out great when you finally get it tuned.

Yea suspension is gonna be next step for this car. I told the shop tuning my car that if it isn't ready Friday I'm coming to get it.

They were all like they can't guarantee a day cause they don't know if the car will have any problems or not. Which is understandable but if it's for any other reason I'm taking it somewhere else.

Cams? Exhaust?

And what do you define as a built motor. That sound like low numbers to me.
