Well guys here's an update. After having the blown block inspected by another shop it appears that the culprit was improper oil pressure. The guy who installed my turbo thought he fixed it but oil wasn't getting to the block causing the rod to seize up and snap.

Man I'd be thinking about taking it to a different guy because this guy sounds like a dumby you wanna always make sure there's the right oil pressure before driving it around or even running it like all he really needed to do is put a manual oil pressure gauge an watch it well it was running at idle to make sure it had the right pressure

Nope, the guy barely has enough to cover the new short block I got. I didn't wanna do this but it's time to get a lawyer involved. This is why you don't go to small cheap shops for work like this. The bad part is I go to this guy alot but he usually does decent work. But not this time.

Dang man.....I just read this whole post....i'm on the emotional rollercoaster with you now. I would be LIVID with this guy!

Oh and...CNC heads!! Going to be another $2-3K depending if you get ported heads or not. But if someone else is picking up the tab, ported!

A ported head over a stock head is better in many ways, it increases flow which in turn maximizes efficiency and power output. But bigger is not always better sometime it can hurt power output.

Oh OK I understand thanks. I'm thinking about maybe getting some cams as well. I heard the frpp hot rod cams will work with a turbo.

The FRPP Cams are very nice, But I would have to say the general consensus on ME is to get the Brenspeed Detroit Rocker Cams. More bang for your buck! But there is nothing wrong with the FRPP cams, I just think you get more HP gains from the Brenspeed Cams.

Lol I'm just gonna be honest here, I'm gonna have a fully built motor here running 10 psi of boost, I should be around 500rwhp (maybe). The cams are gonna be straight up for sound. I can care less about the hp gains lol.

If you have a fully built motor, don't run 10 lbs for 500 rwhp, run 20 for 650/700!

Lol its still a DD at the moment, that would be an insane amount hp to cruise around town with. Would definitely be fun though.

If your going to do the cams for sound you might want to spend that money somewhere else. The turbo is going to quiet things up quite a bit.
