2013 Taillights

When do you guys think we could see a retrofit taillight set of the 2013 for our 05-09? I've been looking around and haven't seen anything.

This is possible, but very impractical for night-time driving. I'd recommend an LED conversion if one was to do this at the very minimum (plus it'd be even more like the 13s).

There never will be. It's the same problem they are running into making them for our 11-12 Gt's. we have reflectors in our lights that makes them DOT approved and the 13+ have them in their bumpers so that means that there will never be a set, sucks I know cause I wanted a set to.

That sucks! The first time I saw them I fell inlove with em! I'm sure someone will think of something to make them and make it legal.

Have you considered trading up for a '13?

Well you could take the car down the chassis and build a 2014 just one way of thinking outside the box.

I like the lights but not as much to trade up. I'm not too fond of the new body styles (2010+). Theres something about the 05-09's. Plus I just bought mine a year ago..

Looks kool but I know I can do better with a 10 dollar can of lense tint (so its glossy) and 3 dollar roll of pin stripping tape(so it flexes around the curves

The link to those vinyl decals seems like a pretty good quick idea over taping and painting... But at $50 bucks, no thanks.

$50 is cheap for a mod like that I'm sure will get you tons of looks and conversation starters from it.

^Guy above me, it wouldn't be smart to cover your reverse lights, it's essentially not safe at all to cover those. But it's your car, do as you wish.

I agree with you. I love the 05-09 body. When that body style came out I wanted a mustang really bad. I like the tail lights
