Installed Halo Fog/Head lights!

Really happy with how they turned out! It's an 07 Red-fire Metallic GT. They are from AM

love the fogs...can't say the same for the headlights though, but how is their light output? And be honest...are they better than stock or no? Did you or will you or can you upgrade them to HID as well?

Fogs look good! Get some 6000K HID headlight bulbs to match your halo projectors.

Thanks, what does it involve to switch them out with HID bulbs? Would they just go into my current headlight? I've noticed my fog lights are now brighter than my High Beams.

They aren't as bright as stock, I'm considering HID replacements, but not sure what to buy or how to install. I think a forum search is going to be in my near future.

Best HID Kits, HID Headlights online shopping, LCD Projector/Tattoo Kits/CCTV Systems for sale makes pretty nice kits that are of very good quality and very affordable. Are these new headlights still bi-xenon or do you have separate high and low bulbs? I can't really tell what that separate angel eye thing is...like is it a highbeam or no? When I had my kit installed in my f150, it was bi-xenon but i never needed to switch to my high beams anyway. The plug and play kits from vvme are very simple to use and they last forever. Still need to get one for my mustang. They include new ballasts, bulbs and connectors. You just unplug all your old lighting, plug these into them, connect to battery, install the new bulbs in the connectors and place the connectors in the housing...you'd be done in 30min or less.

These are what I installed. A customer review says you can install HID in them, you just need the ballasts like you said. I'm chatting with a rep from the site you gave me, but he doesn't seem to know which kit I should order. Can you link me the ones I need based on my headlights? The HighBeams come from the center of the top halo and the low beams are the bulbs on in the picture.

I don't drive with the Fogs on, just the halo part of them.

I just put new headlight housings in mine also except I went the full route and put in the HID's also. Mine are stamped H13 and that's what type of HID bulb I put in. My Highbeams are just the regular Halogen bulbs. I think if you decide to go with HID's you will be very pleased. I know I am.

I recommend you order your HID's from one of the following:

1) (best on the market free 2yr warranty) The Retrofit Source online: headlight upgrades for all applications

2) (I'd say second best, free 1yr warranty) HID Kits by HIDeXtra - Premier Performance Lighting

I use both of their products. I was trying to fix the cheap HID kits I bought for 4 months until I found these websites. Customer service is outstanding.

His new headlights are projectors... They're more capable of handling an HID bulb. Don't be that guy who nags HID's if you don't know what you're talking about.

He is already that guy, even though he failed to read that the OP has projectors he is staunchly against people upgrading to HID because it blinds him.

OP a 12v 55w low beam setup with digital slim ballasts would be enough for you. You honestly don't even need a high beam with an HID upgrade unless you really want to blind people.

I recommend the digital slim ballasts as well! One of the best designs on the market.

As for 35W vs. 55W, the extra 20W isn't necessary for Mustangs (unless you take your pony off-roading). 35W is super bright already, and I've heard (can't confirm) the color washes out and of course produces almost double the heat (melting/softening could happen).

Alright, so if I buy these I should be good? I couldn't find a set on that site that only did low beams. I'm really clueless on what to order. Once I have it I'm positive I will be able to install them, I'm just still really new to all the HID talk. All you guys are incredible for all the information and recommendations you are giving. If this isn't what I should get, maybe link a direct link to what I need? Thanks again and apologies for being ignorant on the whole thing.

They have a slim option, but it's doesn't say if it's 35w or 55w.

The stock duel filament bulbs are H13, thus can't be in single beam.

You need these for you new headlights (low beams are H7), don't forget to select slim ballasts:

I'm assuming you have these lights:

I agree, 35w is more than enough...the buttons you select on that page will show 35w or 55w for the signature or power series...55w is super bright. With your raxioms you will need the low bulb set up (H7) like Rice Eater pointed out. You no longer have the bi-xenon (H13) bulbs.

I think they are pretty cool, but I don't know if I can spend $120 for what to me seems like a piece of plastic and some tape.

Wonder if I could make my own...I bet the paint match would be a huge pain.

blubill, I ordered the same headlights that you have (AM #49128). Were you able to install the HID kit? I want to do the same. Did you have any problems with the install? Any info on the install will be welcome. Thanks
