Hand brake help!!!

When I put my hand brake I heard a weird noise now my hand brake has no tension. I checked my back brakes and notice this? How can I put the cable end in the lever?

vise grips or pliers and yank back out and hook it in, assuming the cable isnt froze up? never seen one just pop off..

Its impossible so I'm assuming it froze up? I tried the other side and I can take off the cable end and put it back in the lever easy as 123 ha
