Need Assistance

Ok went to go change my rear breaks as they're squeaking some and couldn't get the damn caliper off?! I unscrewed the two 10mm bolts and from my understanding the caliper is supposed to slide right off but mine didn't. I had the car in first gear since I my emergency brake is broke, would that have made a difference? I spent nearly 30 minutes trying to get it off and then it started raining lol. Any help appreciated.
