Yeah a 2014! You get a 2012 for lower 20s with those miles....that's like when people say you can buy a civic and spend what you woulda on the corvette to make the civic faster....in the end it's your cash and your mind set so have fun boosting that beast!

OP, the cost of everything it would take to beat the new 5.0 is probably going to be about the same as going f.i or maybe a little more. N/a builds are sweet though!
What's little to no work my 2011 5.0 with tune and tires was running high 11s I'm sorry but drivers being equal it will take a lot more than bolt ons to beat a 5.0.....op turbos and centri superchargers will cost you more on install than the root/twin screw counterpart so keep that in mind when deciding....btw there will always be something faster so enjoy what you have and make goals of beating your old times or shoot for certain times rather than beat a certain type of car...if its that important to you ill race you from a 30 punch in my gt500 and ill start in 4th so you can win than you can say you beat a gt500 but at the end of the day your car didn't get any faster

Cool man! And I'd forge it all for sure since your going to need to be pushing some pretty high boost. As far as the tranny, YES it won't last long at all if you don't.

Search on google for a forged kit man, and ask around your area how much for a dyno tune. I'd only go to shops that have good reputations and are well known

Probably in the 12k range for the kb kit, tranny, install, forged & tuned

---------- Post added at 12:13 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:12 AM ----------

Maybe a bit more depending on the installer and what tranny you go with

That's probably a low estimate. I was quoted on motor build alone at $7500, and that was the starting price. The more hp your after the higher the price.
