Hurst Competition Shifter

Does anybody have one of these shifters, I'm on the edge with ordering it. I hate how my stock shifter feels. I've never had a short shifter before in any car and was wondering how much of a difference I would feel with it.

610swolf,

The Hurst shifter is a great upgrade for the price. Your shift throw will be reduced and each gear will feel more crisp. This really helps when you're racing because you're more confident with each gear.

Although, I must say my favorite shifter is the Barton short throw. The price is a bit more, but the quality is top notch. Plus the short throw is even shorter than the Hurst!

Regardless which shifter you pick, I definitely think it's a valuable upgrade.

Shane

Love the Hurst, it's classic. I put one in 2 years ago, the billet is slightly more, but worth it. It's real solid.

For the price hurst is awesome. I'm on a tight budget so that's what I went with and it makes a world of difference. If I had more money to spend though I would have gone mgw for sure.

Well it might be higher quality built there's no debating the nostalgic look sound and feel of the hurst shifter.

You will love it. BIG CHANGE at first and it takes the car ride home to get used to but it's awesome. You won't regret it. One of my favorite mods. Plus when you're romping on it 2nd to 3rd is way easier.

That's so true. Any shifter will help with "accuracy" and the travel from 2nd and travel to 3rd is amazing and I haven't missed a shift yet
