hurst short throw problem help!

I put a hurst short throw in my 06 gt about 2 months ago. I absolutely love the feel of it. But I cannot get the car into second gear if I'm shifting fast at redline. I can at 5500 Rpms but not the absolute redline. If I granny it into second at redline it will go in. But not shifting very quick. My stock shifter never did that. I gave it a few months to maybe break in but that hasn't helped. Has anyone else had that problem?

Hi Scotts 197 GT. I have the hurst billet comp plus shifter. No problem. The higher I rev it the better it goes in. Do you have a stop screw for second gear maybe to tyte. Are the serrations on the lower stick facing the passenger side..

That's wierd I had the same issue when I had the hurst. I know alot of people that never had that problem. I can't really explain it either but when I switched to mgw I didn't do it again. I guess every car likes its own shifter
